Some alternate theories have been suggested but there is no need at all to bring those up here. Suffice it to say Bodhisattva Social Club was one of the last nightspots downtown I felt comfortable in and enjoyed throughly. While it is true the closing came as a surprise and shock to everyone, the article's statement that this development is not exactly from left field due to the disrepair that had befallen Bodhi's is not inaccurate.
With the exception of Will's Pub and to a lesser extent, Back Booth (and really only because a few of the Yab Yum family work there) I do not see myself venturing downtown much more to enjoy an evening in the company of good friends, good drinks and good company.
It is my opinion that Bodhisattva was Yab Yum's last stand. But then again I suppose all good things must come to an end. It will be missed.
