I am sure I speak for every citizen of the State of Florida when I hope that the course of Hurricane Ivan changes significantly from the latest official projection. Right now, the panhandle of Florida including the Capitol Tallahassee are receiving their share of Frances.

At this point I am uncertain if I will be returning to work tomorrow as my office building in downtown Orlando is without power. I will receive an updated status report later in the day, but at first report there was no structural damage to the building. If you read Mount Sutro through Charley, you will recall my office building is only blocks away from the Orlando Executive Airport (ORL), whose facility was severely damaged.

In other news, I am nearly fully recovered from my recent surgical procedure. I am still experiencing some pain but nothing too severe. I have a follow-up appointment with my surgeon on Wednesday.

I going to go reset all my clocks now. The incessant flashing is enough to instigate a personal case of encephalopathy.
