I have had considerable difficulty locating complete and decent quality MP3 copies of the following two songs. If anyone can locate them, I would very much appreciate receiving a forwarded copy.
Lords of Acid - Lady Marmalade Got it!
Luna Chique - Liquid Space Got it!
I have been looking periodically for a little over a year with no luck. I like the Liquid Space song so much I would purchase it, but I would rather not import the LP from England. Hell, I cannot even play an LP.

Yup, that is about it for now. Happy Valentine's Day (even if you are single, lonely and depressed). Do not forget to send your mother flowers.

Euphoria

Thanks to "Said Boy," I now have copies of four more discs from the "Euphoria" electronic music series. Volume One and Volume Three are much like the other two-disc sets I have, Volume Two, Euphoria Ibiza and Euphoria Chilled (do not own, but have heard in its entirety). Of course, I still have Volumes One and Three (along with others in the series) on my Amazon Wish List, because you know how I love having the entire original package. However, at the price these go for and my current lack of regular income, a burnt copy will do me just nicely.

New York bans mobiles in theatres

There are some things that should simply be a matter of common sense. However, since most people upon being hit beside the head with a large cast iron frying pan still do not have a lick of commonsensible thought, perhaps certain legislation is required. Ever popular the deterrent of fines to correct socially insufferable behaviour, New York city has decided to ban the use of or active possession (ringing, beeping and such) of mobile telephones and pagers in concerts, cinemas, theatres, museums and libraries. [ article ]

Under the guise of it being let another unenforceable law, Mayor Michael Bloomberg opposed this legislation, which passed despite his objection. And I cannot say I disagree with him. While nothing more aggravates me then some jack off gabbing on the telephone in the middle of a film, I do not really see the $50.00 fine doing much to prevent this. As it is obnoxious individuals are often left to talk loudly, throw things and point laser dots about the theatre without any or much dissent from the staff. Perhaps simply being an asshole should carry a $50.00 fine.

New HIV barrier 'closer'

Normally it is my policy to post more normal news items in the appropriate area of the Forum. However, due to a lack of posts by me in the past ten days, I figured what the hell. Besides, is not every current events, weblog or journal website written by a homosexual to contain themed items thought to be of "community" interest? Yeah, whatever.

Anyway, the following story is about a newly formulated microorganism-killing chemical that can be used prior to sexual intercourse to prevent the HIV virus from spreading without the use of a condom. The virus-killing microbicide research is currently directed toward African women, where the HIV/AIDS escalation is out of control. I imagine if this method is successful, further marketing in developed countries for both men and women will occur.

This research is also being used to test if this method of protection could be widely applied for use in the contagion prevention other sexually transmitted diseases such as chlamydia and gonorrhoea. While the application of this protection, which could be in a gel format, may be a slight hassle, it certainly does not carry the burden or the desensitisation that comes with a condom. Given enough research, it could be possible that these preventative gels could be even mixed with lubrication products to further reduce hassle and prevent accidental non-use due to memory or sexual spontenaiety.

Bullets II

  • The job search continues without any luck so far, much to my dismay. The job fair I attended did not yield many opportunities for those in the IT or administration field. I continue looking at the Sunday classifieds and via the smattering of online listings. Going to apply for a position tonight that is an IT job at a law firm. Perfect, no?

  • Filing my taxes online through H&R Block. Not having them review anything because I know people that would do that for me free. Plus, I am getting everything back anyway, so no need to worry about deductions and increasing my return.

  • "Said Boy" and I have been hanging out often. Yay!

  • Saw Chicago with "Said Boy" and was impressed I enjoyed it as much as I did. I am not a big fan of Catherine Zeta-Jones or Renée Zellweger, but both of their performances impressed me. I particularly enjoyed Queen Latifah and Taye Diggs.
